Nimi in Nashville

I am a New Yorker soaking in the Nashville life.
I think I am having a mid life crisis, although I am too young to have one and I am deep down quite enlightened.
I am, searching, people, for a home, for deliverance, for candy perfume dreams to finally fit into my skin and not need any more alterations.

My LOVELY Daniel…..

My husband and I are lucky enough to have been given the greatest gift we have ever known, our daughter Darian.

She will be a year old very soon and oh what a crazy, wonderfully joyous, draining, magical, tearful year it has been.

It is a piece of cake compared to the journey in which we took to arrive at this destination. Which definetly makes us certified tight rope walkers.

Danny and I are “artists” we sing, write music, write screenplays, paint, we dream big and sometimes fall hard.

We have always lived by some of these ideals, fly by the seat of your pants, do first, think later, throw caution to the wind, play now pay later, you only live once, enjoy yourself it’s later than you think.

The first time I sat down to write a song with him my soul was so on fire that it felt as if it had melted my skin right off the bone.

From that moment on, six years ago he has played many roles in my life.

Husband, Lover, friend, enemy, bearer of bad news, father, brother, teacher, parol officer, warden, tightwod, priest, role model, crush.

From that moment he has laughed with me, cryed with me, danced with me, held me, sang for me, dressed me and bathed me when I was sick, picked me up off the floor after Drunken Salsa vomit night(don’t ask) Kissed my pregant belly, and watched our baby cry in her first minutes of life.

Nowadays Danny’s main role is taking care of our most perfect creation. Nowadays it has become harder to be anything to each other except someone to give the other time to do something as simple as brush our teeth or take a shower.

The hygene we have had since we have become parents is, let’s just say not up to par!

I watch Danny with our precious girl and I am in awe. I watch his gentle ways and the way he makes her giggle.

He bathes her, and sings to her and takes her to the book store.

He was born to be her father and he is the best I have ever seen.
